# Rezzy vs Mindbody: Boutique Studio or Enterprise Wellness?

**TL;DR:** Rezzy vs Mindbody is a choice of shape, not quality. Mindbody is strongest at classes, memberships and several locations, from $79 a month per location with its upper plans sold by quote; Rezzy is a front desk for small appointment studios at a published $19 to $79 a month, with payments in your own Stripe or Square.

---

$79 a month is the bottom of Mindbody's price list and the top of Rezzy's. At Mindbody, it is the starting price for one location, and a sales rep prices the two plans above it. At Rezzy, it buys Unlimited, the top plan, with no cap on team members. Same number, opposite ends of the market. This post sends you to the right end.

## What does Mindbody cost?

Mindbody's [pricing page](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/pricing) says "Starting at $79 USD/month per location" and lists three plans: Starter, Accelerate and Ultimate. Every plan button reads "Let's talk." Mindbody's [US pricing post](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/education/blog/new-mindbody-pricing-united-states) says it plainly: "Accelerate and Ultimate are quote-based."

The tiers stack like this:

- **Starter** covers booking, integrated payments, a website, booking widgets, a listing on the Mindbody app and basic reporting.
- **Accelerate** adds advanced reporting, room and resource management, Pick-a-Spot for classes, and promo codes.
- **Ultimate** adds automated email and text campaigns, a 24/7 AI front desk and a lead pipeline. Mindbody's FAQ steers you here: "Our recommendation: Ultimate."

Two details deserve a question on the sales call. First, Mindbody's own pages disagree on reminders: the pricing FAQ puts email and text reminders "on the Accelerate plan and above," while its pricing post, updated October 2, 2026, lists automated reminders at $79. Second, the price is per location. Extra users cost nothing, but "your subscription price increases based on adding new locations."

Then come the usage costs. The Mindbody app lists you for free, and existing clients who book there cost nothing. A new client the app brings in costs "20%, capped at $30" of their first purchase. Mindbody's [payments page](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/payments) adds that bookings through "Mindbody affiliates, e.g. Google, may include a separate fee or revenue share."

**Get the quote in writing, with the plan name, the processing rate and the contract term on it.**

## What do you sign with Mindbody?

Mindbody's [terms of service](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/company/legal/terms-of-service) set an initial term of 90 days that then renews in 30-day periods, with at least 30 days' notice to end it. Its [contracts article](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/education/blog/mindbody-contracts-cancellation-data) describes the other shape: fixed terms "(e.g., 12, 24, or 36 months)," where "you are committed for the full length of that contract term," and the contract renews itself unless you give notice 30 days before it ends.

Leaving early does not end the bill. The terms say you "will remain responsible for payment of all fees owed for the entire Subscription Term." The contracts article says you cancel by contacting Mindbody support by phone or online, and "all cancellation requests are reviewed by our internal teams."

Plan the exit for your data too. Mindbody lets you export clients, purchase history, visits and sales reports as CSV files. Do it before your site closes: once it is deactivated, "you will no longer be able to access the data stored in it." A paid export service runs for up to 30 days after cancellation, and the terms make it conditional on every amount owed being paid.

Contracts like this are common when you buy through a salesperson. What differs is your size: a big studio can carry a plan it no longer needs, and a small one feels every month of it. Sign for 12 months, lose your only other stylist in month four, and months five through twelve are still on the bill.

## What Mindbody does better

- **Classes and memberships.** Class schedules, Pick-a-Spot, memberships with automatic recurring charges, and ClassPass. Rezzy books one client into one appointment and sells no memberships. If you teach yoga, Pilates or barre, stop here and pick Mindbody.
- **A marketplace with a cap.** The Mindbody app is "seen by 3M+ consumers," and the new-client fee stops at $30. Rezzy has no marketplace at all.
- **Several locations.** Multi-location management with corporate-level controls, and custom plans for franchises. Rezzy is built for one studio.
- **Someone else does the setup.** Configuration, data migration and one-on-one training, with "no setup fee on any Mindbody plan." Rezzy's import is self-serve.
- **Text messages.** Mindbody texts reminders from Accelerate up, and Ultimate adds text marketing with a monthly text bundle. Rezzy does not send texts today.

## What does Rezzy cost, and what do you sign?

Rezzy's [prices are on the homepage](/#pricing): Solo is $19 a month for one person, Studio $39 with up to five team members included, and Unlimited $79 with no cap on team members, plus emails on autopilot and campaigns. Annual billing costs less: $9, $15 and $19 a month at the founding price for the first 30 studios, then $190, $390 and $790 a year.

There is no free trial. A 30-day money-back guarantee stands behind your first payment. There is no minimum term and no notice window: **End my plan** sits on the billing page, and the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Past the guarantee there is no refund for part of a period, so pick monthly if you are unsure.

Every plan carries [deposits and full prepayment](/guides/take-deposits-or-full-payment), Google review requests, standing appointments, the client book, and a [needs-rebooking list](/guides/rebook-lapsed-clients) that flags regulars who have drifted.

*Two practitioners, one client in every slot. Rezzy's Studio plan covers both of them for $39 a month.*

> **No sales call, no minimum term.** Rezzy gives you a booking page, email reminders, deposits and a client book that builds itself, at a price printed on the homepage. [Take a booking today](/signup).

## Who holds the money?

Mindbody Payments is available on every plan, at a rate "based on the Mindbody plan you select." Mindbody says it "is not required," but calls it "the only payment processor built directly into your Mindbody software," and its pricing post notes that "some promotional offers include Mindbody Payments as part of the package." If you plan to keep your own processor, ask whether it can take a deposit at online booking.

One clause matters if you do process through Mindbody. Section 4.3.2 of its terms lets Mindbody recover anything you owe it by "offsetting such amounts against" funds "arising from the settlement of transactions" through its payment services, Mindbody Payments included.

Rezzy connects the Stripe or Square account you own. Card payments settle there on your processor's normal schedule. Rezzy never holds them and takes no commission. If you leave, the merchant account and every saved card stay with you. Your client list leaves with you too: [export the whole book as a CSV](/guides/export-your-client-list) on any plan, paused included.

## Which one should you pick?

**Pick Mindbody if your business runs on a class schedule or a membership.** A yoga or Pilates studio, a gym, a spa with several locations, or a franchise. It also fits an appointment studio that wants marketplace exposure, text reminders and done-for-you setup more than it wants a short commitment. If you sign, put the renewal date in your calendar, and the notice date 30 days before it.

**Pick Rezzy if you run appointments and the book is the business.** One chair or a handful, regulars who come back to the same person, money in your own Stripe or Square, and a price you can read before you commit. That is the shape a [massage room or small day spa](/solutions/spas-and-massage) tends to take, and the only shape Rezzy is built for.

Already on Mindbody? Your Order Form holds your term, renewal date and notice period. Send notice at least 30 days before the date it names. Export your clients, visits and sales while the site is still live, then bring the CSV into Rezzy's [client import](/guides/import-your-client-list). Our guide to [switching booking apps without losing your client list](/blog/how-to-switch-booking-apps-without-losing-your-client-list) walks through the order.
