Price Increase Email Templates for Salons (Copy and Paste)
A good price increase email goes out three to four weeks before the change. It names the date and the new price for each service, gives one reason once, and ends with an offer to book before the date at today’s price. Send one reminder about a week before, then stop.
Below: an announcement, a short version, a note for regulars, the reminder, a new-client note, and replies for pushback. Still deciding whether to raise, or by how much? Start with how to raise your prices without losing clients.
When should you send a price increase email?
Send it three to four weeks before the new prices start. Regulars get time to book one more visit at today’s price.
- Announcement: three to four weeks before the date.
- One reminder: about a week before.
- Then stop. The new prices simply start.
The price increase calculator shows how many clients you could lose and still come out ahead. Not sure what a service should cost? Price it by chair time.
What should a price increase email say?
- The date. “Starting Monday, December 1,” not “soon.”
- Old and new price, per service. Only the ones that change.
- One reason, once. One sentence, not a list of your bills.
- Visits already booked. If you’ll honor today’s price for them, say so.
- The book-before offer. Book before the date and that visit stays at today’s price.
- No apology. You are telling them, not asking them.
Date, prices, one reason, one offer. Anything more reads like you’re asking permission.
What should a price increase email look like?
Swap the brackets. Cut any line that doesn’t apply.

Want the price to change everywhere at once? In Rezzy the price lives on the service, so one edit updates your booking page. Try Rezzy with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
How do you reply when a client pushes back on a price increase?
Reply once, warmly, and keep your price. A quiet discount is a second price list, and those get around.
The “I get it” reply:
Hi [Name], thank you for telling me straight. Nobody loves a price change. The new price is what lets me keep doing this properly, and I’d really like to keep seeing you.
When they ask you to hold their price:
Hi [Name], I understand why you’re asking. I keep one price for everyone, so I can’t hold the old one past [date]. I can book your next visit now at today’s price, though. Want me to find you a time?
A warm goodbye, if they leave:
Hi [Name], I understand, and thank you for every visit. You’re always welcome back.
What are the do’s and don’ts of price increase emails?
| Do | Don’t |
|---|---|
| Name one date | Say “soon” |
| Give one reason, once | List your rent, products, and utilities |
| Use round prices like $90 | Use odd percentage prices like $91.80 |
| Keep one price for everyone | Give quiet discounts to whoever complains |
| Send one announcement and one reminder | Send it twice in the same week |
| Say what happens to booked visits | Leave them guessing until checkout |
Clear, calm, and the same for everyone.

How do you send a price increase email in Rezzy?
Campaigns and saved templates are on the Unlimited plan. On Solo or Studio, you email one client at a time.
- The price lives on the service. Change it in Settings, then Services, on the day you named. Clients who already booked keep the price they booked at. The new price applies to new bookings. A deposit is its own amount, so adjust it too if needed. See set up your services.
- On Unlimited, send a campaign. Go to Marketing, then Emails, then Campaigns. Swap the brackets for
{{first_name}},{{business_name}}, and{{booking_link}}, and pick Everyone with marketing consent. Send a test to myself, then send now or schedule it. Only the account owner can send campaigns. See send a campaign. - Email spacing applies. By default a campaign skips anyone who got another marketing email too recently, and the results page shows how many. Spacing can be set as long as 14 days, so send the announcement closer to four weeks out and the reminder won’t be skipped.
- Keep the wording. On a sent campaign’s page, choose Save as template (Unlimited). See save and reuse email templates.
- On Solo or Studio, one at a time. Open the client in Clients, choose Actions, then Send email, and paste a template. Team members can send too. Start with regulars on your needs-rebooking list. See email a client.
- Who it reaches. A price change email reaches clients who agreed to marketing email, through Send email or a campaign. Everyone else sees the new price when they next book. See how marketing consent works.
