Set your hours
You never manage open slots by hand. You tell Rezzy the hours you work, and it works out what is bookable from your hours, your existing appointments, your blocked time, and your Google Calendar.
This is the second thing to set up, after your services.
Your weekly hours
- Go to Settings → Availability.
- Under Weekly hours, pick a day, a start time, and an end time, then Add hours.
- Repeat for each day you work.
A day with no hours is a day nobody can book. That is how you take Sundays off: you simply never add Sunday.
Splitting a day around lunch
Add two rows for the same day. Tuesday 9:00 to 13:00 and Tuesday 14:00 to 18:00 gives you an hour in the middle that nobody can book into, every week, without you thinking about it again.
Days off and holidays
Weekly hours are the rhythm. Date overrides are the exceptions.
Under Date overrides, pick the date and mark it closed all day, or give it different hours. Use it for public holidays, the day of the wedding you are attending, or the Saturday you are opening late for one week only.
An override always beats your weekly hours for that date. Existing bookings are not cancelled: closing a day stops new bookings, it does not touch appointments you already have.
For a gap inside a working day, a blocked time is the better tool.
How much notice you need
These live on the Settings → Booking page tab, and they matter as much as your hours:
- Min notice (hours) stops the 10-minutes-from-now booking. If you need an hour to prepare, set one hour and the next slot is never sooner than that.
- Book up to (days ahead) stops someone booking next December. Sixty days is a sensible default for most studios.
- Cancel cutoff (hours) is how close to the appointment a client can still cancel themselves. Inside that window, they have to contact you.
Buffers between clients
Buffer time belongs to the service, not to your hours. A 60 minute service with a 15 minute buffer takes 75 minutes off your calendar but still shows to the client as 60 minutes.
Set it per service so your quick trim and your long colour can behave differently. See Set up your services.
When you have a team
Each practitioner has their own hours on their own row, set from Settings → Team. If somebody works Thursday to Saturday and you work Monday to Friday, clients see the right times for whoever they picked.
A practitioner with no hours of their own falls back to the studio’s. See Add team members.
Check it looks right
Open your booking page and try to book yourself. It is the fastest way to catch an hour set to PM instead of AM.
If the times look shifted by hours, check your time zone under Settings → Business. Everything on your booking page is shown in your studio’s time zone.
Run your front desk on Rezzy
Online booking, a client book that builds itself, automatic reminders, and rebooking that runs on its own.
